2018 Desiree Cooper Scholarship Winners
We are excited to announce our 2018 award winners:
The Black Women in Architecture winner: Michelle Robinson
The Black Women in Architecture merit award: Kionna Walker and Tiara Hughes
The jury, consisting of friends, colleagues and family of Desiree Cooper, felt that all of the applicants embodied the mission of the scholarship and were deserving of recognition. Ultimately, the jury desired to award three prizes. We wish these women much success in their future as they work toward completing the licensure process and advancing in the architecture profession.
Thanks go to the supporters of the fund, the committee for their effort over the last year to push this effort forward, the jury for their time reviewing applications, the NOMA Foundation, and the attendees, sponsors and organizers of the 2017 Black Women in Architecture brunch whose proceeds helped seed the fund.
